Medicare Part D

When you are on Medicare, you get your prescriptions from a Medicare Part D drug plan. These plans can be stand-alone plans that you purchase separately if you have Original Medicare without any other type of insurance or if you have a Supplemental Plan that goes with your Original Medicare (Parts A & B). If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, your Part D is usually included in the plan.
